Together we’ll learn six practical (and fun!) ways to start a story.

Over six weeks, we’ll discover how to:

  • 🧐 Start a story with the Details

  • 🧨 Start a story with Tension

  • 🎬 Start a story with your Ending

This is the weekly itinerary:

⚡️ Monday Momentum:
Every Monday, you'll receive two videos.

✍️ Writing Wednesday:
Every Wednesday, you can attend an (optional) co-writing session on Zoom.

🏁 Finish Line Friday:
Every Friday, you'll receive a final video and invitation to wrap up the week.

Here’s the weekly breakdown of this edition of Tiny Story Club 🧐

  • Introductions

    This is your starting point! This lesson features a quick introduction to me (Monika!) and the inner workings of Tiny Story Club.

  • Week One | Oct 20-24

    Learn how to start a story with your north star. Why do you want to write? We’ll start there to get your compass aligned for the next six weeks.

  • Week Two | Oct 27-31

    Who’s helming this story anyway? Let’s start a story with a dynamic character who is ready to cannonball off the page and into readers’ hearts.

  • Week Three | Nov 3-7

    Should we start in a kitchen, garden, or by the water? You get to pick! Learn how to submerge your reader into a fresh setting this week.

  • Week Four | Nov 10-14

    Just details, details, details… but isn’t it the little things that matter the most? This week we’ll learn about and write details that give a tale delight and dimension.

  • Week Five | Nov 17-21

    Nothing gets a story to crackle like some good ol’ tension! Let’s add the push and pull in your story this week, and tug a reader’s attention.

  • Week Six | Nov 17-21

    All good things must come to an end. So, let’s a start a story there. Write a story this week that flips the narrative upside down - and starts at the final act.

It’s me! I’m Monika 👋

I’m a freelance author of 60+ books for schools and a writer for over 25 years.

Writing is the most magical part of my life, and I’m on a mission to help big-hearted writers (both new and seasoned!) meet their writing goals—while having fun.

This is my first foray into online territory. I hope to write with you inside Tiny Story Club!

  • No worries, the online sessions are optional! They are there to add to your experience of Tiny Story Club. If you can’t make it, though, no problem.
