Ready to start writing again?

Creative writing workshops to help you meet your writing goals in Victoria, BC.

Young woman, Monika Davies, with black wavy hair smiling in front of a brick wall, wearing a denim jacket and floral top.

Hey, I’m Monika!

I’m a freelance author of 60+ books for schools and a writer for over 25 years.

Writing is the most magical part of my life, and I’m on a mission to help big-hearted writers (both new and seasoned!) meet their writing goals—while having fun.

Let me ask you a question…

Do you feel like you’d love to write more—
but can’t find the time or the inspiration? ⏰✨

I get it because I’ve been there. I write for a living but it’s challenge to work on my personal projects with endless deadlines and countless to-dos. You KNOW you want to make space for your creativity—but where do you start?

 What if you could…

🗓 Have a dedicated time + space to create ←

✍️ Learn how to write in new ways with less fear

🙌 Be in a supportive environment to share your writing ←

🎉 Have fun while improving your writing skills ←

All that is possible. That’s where I come in! 👋

My creative writing workshops are designed to help you get excited and inspired about your writing practice—and to also share your stories in a setting that is both kind and wildly supportive.

Let’s write together! ✏️
Here are my creative writing workshops in 2025.

My writing philosophy? Everyone is a writer.

I’m an AWA Affiliate, certified to lead workshops in the Amherst Writers & Artists method (AWA) as described in Writing Alone and With Others by Pat Schneider, Oxford University Press.

These are the core AWA practices:

  1. Everyone has a strong, unique voice.

  2. Everyone is born with creative genius.

  3. Writing as an art form belongs to all people, regardless of economic class or educational level.

  4. The teaching of craft can be done without damage to a writer’s original voice or artistic self-esteem.

  5. A writer is someone who writes.
