🖊️ Tired of writing with just your pen for company?
Join a collaborative creative adventure—and mix and mash your writing voice with others!
Together we’ll write silly and serious stories—first on our own, then as pairs, and finally as a group.
This interactive and lively workshop aims to light up your imagination, spark fresh, unpredictable stories—and build community through collaborative storytelling.
🧐 Wait, what’s collaborative storytelling?
So glad you asked!
Collaborative storytelling is when two or more writers put their imaginations side-by-side and create a story together.
In a writing workshop, this can look like:
Piling words, images, or ideas together for a story—and then giving them to the writer beside you.
Two people writing back-and-forth dialogue between two characters.
Writing a poem or short story with a line from every writer in the room.
🌻 So, who is this workshop best for?
This workshop is likely a great fit for you if:
You like to write a lot—or a little!
You’re ready to write stories in a fresh and experimental way.
You’re eager to get to know and connect with fellow writers in your community.
You’re curious to try out a single writing workshop. (It’s a quick 2 hours.)
You’re excited to write with others! (If you’re looking for more of a solitary experience with your writing, I’d suggest you check out my Tales in Tiny Packages workshop instead.)
You look forward to writing within a small group (there will never be more than 8 writers in the workshop).
🌳 You can expect to leave the workshop with:
At least a few paragraphs of new writing for yourself.
1-2 collaborative stories built with your fellow workshop participants.
Prompt palooza! You’ll receive plenty of prompts—and some “creative homework”—to inspire your at-home writing practice.
New friends who are also fellow writers.
A feeling of creative curiosity and courage ✨
